6 Clothing Essentials for Female Travelers

One of the hardest parts of packing is finding versatile luggage and outfits to meet all of our travel needs. Here, a roundup of our favorite essentials and must-haves from suitcases to scarves.

Lo & Sons The O.G. Overnight Bag

This super chic travel bag is filled with just the right amount of pockets to keep you organized for an overnight trip. Big enough to fit your makeup bag—or five—it’s a must for any #BeautyTraveler. No, this one might not be your best bet for an adventure in the jungle. A shopping spree in Paris? Day trip to the Hamptons for work? That’s more like it. The O.G. is perfect for storing a laptop, umbrella, sneakers, flip-flops, and a pair of heels (because a girl needs options). It also fits perfectly underneath airplane seats and comes with a detachable bag for an on-the-go emergency kit or wet bathing suits.

Burton Wheelie Sub Travel Bag

Complete with so many useful compartments to maximize space for clothing, the brand goes so far as to call the Wheelie Sub Travel Bag a “walk-in closet with wheels.” This one was made with heavy-packers in mind, so if you’re planning a long-term, long-distance trip in the near future, it’s worth the investment. Best part? Burton offers a life-time warranty on its bags. We’re telling you, this thing makes a traveler’s life easier.

Jia Collection Agata Dress

These days it’s all about multi-functional clothing. Skirts and dresses with reversible patterns and pants that can easily transform into shorts to achieve a completely new look day to day can be life-changing for a traveler looking to conserve space in her suitcase. No need to over-pack changes of clothes. Just toss a few key pieces into your bag and you’re ready to go!

Aish Red Square Apsara Silk Scarf

A great scarf works to keep you warm during a long flight and can also be worn as a hair accessory. But it doesn’t end there. Beauty mogul Michelle Phan models five ways to wear an oversized scarf.

Forgot your favorite scarf at home? If you’re traveling to a warm destination, it’s typically simple enough to buy a locally-made scarf on the beach.

Nike Legendary Skinny Women’s Training Pants

A great pair of yoga pants should be on every woman’s list of travel essentials. The figure-flattering pants can be worn as sleepwear, lounge wear, and active wear. Invest in a pair made of cotton

Thinx

One of the hardest things to do is travel while on your period. Especially when backpacking or venturing into the wilderness. Thinx is revolutionizing our comfort level during the most dreaded week of the month with its line of leak-resistant, absorbent, and antibacterial underwear. Wear them solo or with a tampon or menstrual cup—no worries, they’re easily washable and reusable and are designed to hold up to two tampons worth per day while preventing odor and leakage. No more stained pants! Additionally, every pair of underwear purchased benefits female entrepreneurs in Uganda.

Happy packing, #BeautyTravelers!

Now I feel like I’ve been living under a rock! Omg, I’ll be buying one thing every month off of this list to try. Planning on traveling by early Jan next year! Thank for this

Dresses are my go-to for any trip in warmer weather. They are a major space saver and headache preventer trying to put an entire outfit together. Dresses can easily be taken from day to night with different accessories.
