I take pride in covering, but I also take pride in taking care of what’s underneath. My hair is still my crown, and I love my beauty self-care time. Wearing a scarf almost every day often takes the moisture from your hair, so I have to make sure I’m putting that health back into my hair. I put masks and my own oil concoctions in my hair to make it grow longer and thicker.”
